7 months (28-32 weeks)

Hurray ! the last three months left. It may seem that the belly does not have any more space, but the baby is still growing. The baby is now is asleep more, every 20 to 40 minutes, day and night changes his calm and active sleep phases. On the surface of the brain small, deeper wrinkles and curves are formed more than before, they are similar to the walnut. The fingernails on the hands have grown, but not yet visible on the legs.

Fetal’s eye pupils begin to react to light / darkness and are already able to focus on the image. Under the baby’s skin layer of fat increased, skin is no longer red, it’s gently pink.

At 32nd week of pregnancy, many babies have turned pointing their head down, choosing the right birth position. However, some babies turn around only in the last weeks of pregnancy, or change the position several times.

Fetal development 28 week of pregnancy

8 months (33-36 weeks)

Your baby is fully formed, head becomes proportional to the body. Baby has 4 types of activity: calm sleep, active dream, calm waking, active waking. These activities can be easily felt.

The muscles of arms and legs are connected to the nervous system and can act in a coordinated way.

If you listen to music, the baby can start rhythmically react to the beat. This strengthens baby’s muscles in a way. The skull is firm, but still a bit weak, and can deform under pressure in the delivery canal.

By the 30th week of pregnancy, 30-35 percent of the babies are positioned in the tummy head up. When the baby has lack space in the tummy, he/she turns up his legs up about 35-36 weeks of gestation and positions his/her head to cervix (the head is placed in the bottom of the pelvis, this is the natural position of the fetus), but there are cases when the baby does not turn up until the birth (3 -4 babies from 100).

Fetal development 34 week of pregnancy

If your baby would born now it would be called a early born baby.

9 months  (37-40 weeks)

Your baby gets more oxygen, glucose and other vital substances from the placenta. About 70 percent of these substances enter the brain. In the last few weeks, the baby’s intestines have accumulated unnecessary substances that have been swallowed with fetal waters. It is a green-black substance, a child’s stool called meconium.

The child already has consciousness and coordination. Your child is ready to come to the world. On average, pregnancy lasts 266 days if we count from the last menstrual period. And in fact, only one in twenty babies is born on time calculated at the beginning of pregnancy. If this happens 2 weeks earlier or later, it is normal and has no effect on newborn mental ability in the future.
